Why I love reading (and writing) series✨📚

There’s something magical about a series, isn’t there? One book can sweep you away… but a series lets you stay. You get to linger in the world, follow characters through more than one adventure, and discover new corners of the same universe.

For me, that’s the heart of why I love both reading and writing series:

• 🌍 Immersion in the world: A single story can spark wonder, but a series lets you sink deeper. Each book expands the map, uncovers hidden corners, and makes the world feel like somewhere you know — somewhere you can return to.
• 👤 Multiple pieces of a character’s life: Characters don’t stop at one journey. In a series, you get to see them across heartbreaks, triumphs, betrayals, and quiet moments. Watching them grow over time is what makes them feel real.
• 🔄 Different parts of the same world: A series also lets you shift the lens. Perhaps it’s a side character stepping forward, or a familiar setting seen through fresh eyes. Each instalment adds dimension, showing how vast and interconnected the world truly is.

That’s why I love series: they’re not just stories, they’re journeys.

How My Books Reflect This

I write two series, and each one captures a different side of what makes series storytelling so special.

• Death and Visions (Urban Fantasy): This series follows one central character whose journey develops over time. With its detective-noir edge and layered mysteries, you can immerse yourself in a gritty, complex world while watching that character evolve across multiple books. If you love seeing a single protagonist grow and change, this is the series for you.
• Highland Rift Pack (Paranormal Romance): This series takes a different approach. Each book introduces a new couple finding their way together within the pack. That means multiple characters step into the spotlight, each bringing fresh perspectives and emotional arcs while still weaving into the larger supernatural setting. If you enjoy seeing different relationships unfold against the backdrop of the same world, this series will feel like home.
