Blurred Lines: A New Supernatural Crime Novel Release

It has been a busy few months behind the scenes, and I’m excited to finally share that my new supernatural crime novel, Blurred Lines, is officially out in the world. This book marks the beginning of the Death and Visions series, and I’m thrilled to introduce readers to a new corner of Edinburgh filled with mystery, magic and more than a few secrets.

Blurred LinesDeath and Visions, Book 1

Two wounds. One corpse. Zero clarity.

Blurred Lines introduces a world where magical Visions are meant to be the most reliable source of truth we have. Everyone grows up believing they are absolute. Everyone trusts them. No one questions the system that depends on them.

Detective Logan Fraser has spent his whole career working within that structure. When he moves to Edinburgh for a fresh start, he expects familiar routines and familiar rules. Instead, he is pulled into a murder at the Calamity Theatre, and nothing about the case behaves the way it should.

The lead actor is found dead after the show, posed like a scene from a performance. Every Vision of his final moments contradicts the last. Some show him stabbed. Others show him shot. None of them match. Visions are meant to be clear and consistent, yet this time they refuse to agree.

Inside Justice, no one seems eager to talk about why the Visions are failing. Logan notices the hesitation, the careful phrasing, the way people avoid looking too closely at the inconsistencies. It feels as if everyone is waiting for someone else to deal with the problem, or pretending there is no problem at all.

Logan is new to Edinburgh, but he knows when something is being brushed aside. As he digs into the theatre’s secrets, he finds a cast full of grudges and motives, but the real pressure comes from the institution he serves. Justice wants the case solved quickly and quietly. Logan wants the truth, even when it refuses to cooperate.

Edinburgh is colder than London and the shadows feel heavier. While his daughter tries to settle into their new life, Logan is doing everything he can to keep her clear of the trouble he has stepped into.

He wanted a new beginning. What he gets is a case that forces him to question the certainty he has always relied on.

Readers who enjoy Rivers of London or The Dresden Files will feel at home in this supernatural mystery where the magic is meant to be dependable, yet something beneath the surface is starting to shift.
